Description
The Unitree H2 EDU SMART J is a lettered package on Unitree's full-size biped, for teams who need a robot of human proportions to develop on. It is listed as a separate model from SMART I, K and L, and the differences between them are confirmed with the quotation. The hand and compute options of this edition are itemised on the quotation.
The H2 EDU body stands 1820 mm tall, 456 mm wide and 218 mm deep, and weighs about 70 kg with its battery. Each leg has 6 degrees of freedom (hip 3, knee 1, ankle 2), calf and thigh together measure 1045 mm, and the leg joints reach 360 N·m. The joints use low-inertia, high-speed internal-rotor motors and industrial-grade crossed roller bearings, in a frame of aircraft-grade aluminium, titanium alloy and high-strength engineering plastics with local air cooling.
That hardware suits work on motion planning, embodied AI and repeatable laboratory exercises, and Unitree's motion-control algorithms keep improving through OTA updates. It is also a powerful machine: Unitree asks users to keep a safe distance from it in operation and to run it between 0 and 40 °C, and it is neither waterproof nor dustproof.
The product photo shows the H2 EDU body in general and is not a guide to the hands of this edition. For the platform on its own, see the Unitree H2 EDU.
